In this introductory course you will begin to understand, read, write and speak Spanish. Topics include grammar and Hispanic culture and literature. Translation exercises will be included. This course is ideal for people who travel to Spanish speaking countries. You will use Spanish about 40% of the time in class.
Due to the pandemic, this course will not be taught in-class at the Oshawa or Whitby campuses. Instead, the instructor will deliver the course online using Zoom or another platform during the normally-scheduled class time. Assignments and tests will be posted using our Desire2Learn Learning Management System (called DC Connect). Therefore, students will need a computer with a webcam, audio and reliable high-speed Internet connectivity to participate. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we cannot predict at this time if/when we will resume in-class delivery for this course.
