Learn the important basics of how to thread and maintain these fabulous machines. Discover the versatility of applications available as you are guided through techniques to use on a range of projects from knits to specialty home decor items. Everyone can enjoy learning to serge and clean finish your fabrics to create endless possibilities with professional results. You must provide your own serger, serger accessory packet (must include serger specific screw driver, upper looper converter, extra needles) and instruction manual, all-purpose serger thread in the same colours indicated for threading your serger, basic sewing kit (scissors, tweezers, large eyed tapestry/darning needle, simple needle threader) and a notebook. A supply kit for workshop samples will be provided.
Students must bring their own serger machine and instruction manual. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure their machine is functioning prior to class. Refunds are not provided due to technical issues during class. 30 minutes for lunch (please bring your own as cafeteria does not operate on Saturday). Fee includes HST.
