Prerequisite: All ACE Distance students must complete the Learn to Learn course BEFORE enrolling in an ACE Distance course. This prerequisite requirement will be verified. Students without the prerequisite may be required to withdraw from the ACE course. Information regarding the Learn to Learn course can be found in the ACE Online Communiqué for Students. Please see the link to the communiqué below.

Biology is the study of life, the organization and energy of life. Topics include; the common features of all life, how scientists approach the study of life, life and energy at the cellular and atomic level, human biology, plant biology and environmental biology. The ACE Biology course focuses on the changing environment on planet Earth, a current and crucial issue.

Textbooks will be mailed directly to student.

Effective January, 2013 students registered to take an ACE Distance course through the tuition-free option managed by the College Sector Committee who have not logged on within 13 days of the start of the course will be removed from the course. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the CSC at l.wallace@xplornet.com. If you are removed from a course you will not be able to register for any further ACE Distance courses as a tuition-free student.

The minimum passing grade for this course is 70%.
