Prerequisite: All ACE Distance students must complete the Learn to Learn course BEFORE enrolling in an ACE Distance course. This prerequisite requirement will be verified. Students without the prerequisite may be required to withdraw from the ACE course. Information regarding the Learn to Learn course can be found in the ACE Online Communiqué for Students. his course is a rigorous introduction to physics which will enable the learner to develop a foundation in the fundamental concepts of physics. The learner will conceptually and quantitatively study and explore the topics of forces and motion; energy and simple machines; waves, sound, light, and optics; electricity and magnetism; and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The emphasis will be on understanding the underlying physical concepts and principles and applying them to the analysis and solution of quantitative problems related to a diversity of practical systems.

Textbooks will be couriered directly to student.

Effective January, 2013 students registered to take an ACE Distance course through the tuition-free option managed by the College Sector Committee who have not logged on within 13 days of the start of the course will be removed from the course. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the CSC at info@cscau.com. If you are removed from a course you will not be able to register for any further ACE Distance courses as a tuition-free student.

Note that a final grade of at least 70% in the course is required to be eligible for registration in another free ACE Distance course, and/or to use the course toward attainment of the ACE certificate.
