Medical Cannabis Fundamentals for Business Professionals (interactive online simulcast)

This is the first course of its type offered by an Ontario college. This introductory-level course examines various aspects of the cannabis industry including history and emerging trends in Canada, regulatory and legal considerations, ethical issues, basic clinical concepts, cultivation and quality control fundamentals, customers/patients, insurance and marketing/communication principles. Though their studies, students will develop contextual knowledge that will expand their familiarity with this rapidly expanding industry.

Course delivery: This course is delivered online through our interactive online simulcast. You require access to a computer with high-speed internet and camera for the duration of class each day. Prior to the class starting you will receive an email detailing the login instructions. If you prefer to attend the course in class at our Oshawa campus please click BUS 1926 for additional details and to enroll in the in class section.

Upon successful completion (which requires you to fully attend both classes and successfully complete all assigned coursework and quizzes) you will receive a digital badge that can be added to your LinkedIn page, resume, e-portfolio, etc. to demonstrate your focus for ongoing professional development to current and prospective employers.
