Cannabis Business Operations: Structure of the Industry

With strict cannabis licensing requirements mandated by the Government of Canada, this micro-course examines the various types of businesses within the Canadian cannabis industry that are permitted under the Cannabis Act (Bill C-45).

Students also study the specialized characteristics of this industry from a structural perspective by exploring the different business types and the manner in which the industry is evolving, including the key roles within cannabis production, testing and retail organizations, along with their primary responsibilities and required security clearances.

Notes:

Please note that you must be 19 years of age or older to take this course. There will be no exceptions to this requirement. If you register for the course and are found to be under 19, you will be removed from the course prior to its start and receive a refund, less the standard administration fee.

This 3 hour course is delivered online and instructorless. Once registered you will have access to the course and must compete the required modules and assignments prior to the course end date.

Once completed your grade will be added to your Durham College transcript (please allow 2 weeks).

A digital badge will be awarded for the completion of all 5 Cannabis Operations micro courses (not individually). Upon completing all 5 courses you must notify us via email cannabis@durhamcollege.ca. Once verified we will issue you the digital badge.

This course is non refundable, withdrawals are only accepted 3 days prior to the course start date.
