Field Placement & Seminar - Human Resources Graduate Certificate

Code:
FWKH 6251

Field placement (FP) consists of the student working with an organization's human resources staff, completing a variety of objectives, and obtaining valuable insights into the workings of an HR department. Students will engage in one-to-one meetings with the instructor during each semester. Students set individual learning objectives and carry out projects, assignments, and tasks as defined by their field placement instructor. The employer's work assignments and the student's learning objectives are discussed and confirmed in a field placement contract at the start of the experience. The student's performance is monitored during their placement and is formally reviewed at the conclusion of the course by their on-site supervisor. Students are expected to complete the required 160 hours (and 24 hours for assignment submissions) at the field placement to obtain credit for this course.
