This course is designed to provide students with a good understanding of Canadian criminal law. It will examine pertinent sections of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the impact on Canadian criminal procedure. The student will learn the powers of arrest, search and seizure under Canadian law and will learn to work in a manner that is consistent will all relevant legislation.
