Law Clerks - Real Estate

This course provides the student with a broad foundation of legal concepts and applications relevant to the legal practice area of residential real estate. All aspects of the basic residential real estate transaction are covered including; land division in Ontario, land registration system, surveys, title insurance, ownership, agreement of purchase and sale, numerous applicable statutes, purchasing, selling, financing and closing the transaction. Students must register through ILCO to write the final exam

Note: Participation in the assignments and discussion is deemed essential in order to be properly prepared for the ILCO provincial exam. Course fees include Syllabus only. Syllabus is posted in course. Exam Registration fees and text books are not included. No in-course evaluation; final grades are based on the ILCO exam.

NOTE: Students must register through ILCO to write the final exam, scheduled for February 1, 2022. Students wanting to sit this exam must complete and submit the exam registration form to ILCO prior to the registration deadline.
