Law Clerk - Estates

LAW 1281

Prerequisite: 2 years law office experience. This course deals with the preparation of wills, powers of attorney and the administration of estates and guardianship including: collection, realization and management of assets of the estate, settlement of debts of the estate, remittance of income and estate taxes payable, payments to beneficiaries, the court probate process, and Estate Litigation.
Students must register through ILCO to write the final exam, scheduled for May 21, 2020.


Post-secondary equivalent: LAW 1206, LAW 2204, LAW 2311

NOTE: Students must register through ILCO to write the final exam, scheduled for June 8, 2021. Students wanting to sit this exam must complete and submit the exam registration form to ILCO prior to the registration deadline.

Tuition fee includes the cost of the syllabus, which will be provided online.
