Project Management and the Human Interface

Human resources management is important to organizing, leading and managing project teams. Students explore various leadership techniques necessary to control the human dynamic within the project lifecycle. Through a series of workshops and exercises, students study the key concepts, tools and techniques for motivating high performance in project teams, such as teambuilding and motivation, leadership and conflict control. Upon completion of this course, students understand the importance of blending sound project management techniques with effective leadership skills to influence others in more positive ways.

Prerequisites:

  • PROJ 1280 Introduction to Project Management
  • Or PROJ 6101 PROJECT MANAGMENT
  • Or PROJ 3201 PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR HR
  • Or PROJ 4202 PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN SCM
