Computer/Keyboarding Skills I

This is a "learn to type" course. In this course students will learn keyboarding techniques using various methods. Keyboarding speed and accuracy will be emphasized. Proofreading and editing documents is covered. Research about repetitive stress injury and proper ergonomics will be included.

Notes:

Software required: Keyboarding Pro Deluxe Version 2.0 MUST be installed on the student's computer to be able to complete the course. (The software is included with the textbook).
This software is not compatible with MACs. However, if you have Windows operating system installed on your MAC - you may be able to run the software. This software is compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.

Durham students are required to achieve 35 wpm and a grade of 60% to meet their program equivalency requirements.
