Currently teaching in Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program, Katherine Cummings began her teaching career 28 years ago as a faculty member in the Registered Nursing program and then the Durham College and York University collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
Cummings graduated from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at McMaster University and successfully completed the Canadian Registered Nurse exam. She continued her education, receiving a Master of Health Science degree from Charles Sturt University. Having a passion for complementary care modalities, Cummings completed her certification in reflexology.
Prior to coming to Durham College, Cummings worked as a surgical unit nurse at Lakeridge Health Corporation.
Primarily teaching in the first-year of the Bachelor of Science Nursing degree program, she heartily welcomes new students to their educational experience.
