  • Community Mental Health - NEW

    The National Mental Health Institute estimates that by the age of 40, one in two Canadians will have experienced mental illness. As the demand for mental health services continues to rise, the need for qualified practitioners is more vital than ever.

    With this DC degree, students will be prepared to support individuals, organizations and institutions in a variety of mental health-related areas and make a significant contribution to the health and well-being of their communities.

    Graduates can successfully enter community mental health roles in areas such as case management, crisis counselling, mental health promotion, addictions counselling, housing and advocacy consultancy, peer support, and residential youth work.

  • Paralegal - NEW

    There is an emerging demand for paralegals in Canada and Ontario as the need for affordable legal representation and access to the justice system rises.

    This program helps students develop a strong cultural competency lens to support the provision of legal services to diverse populations including immigrants, refugees, Indigenous peoples, women, and 2SLGBTQIA+ clients.

    This DC degree will develop future practitioners who have the requirements to apply to the Law Society of Ontario to become licensed paralegals or apply to law school or graduate studies.

  • Artificial Intelligence

    Artificial intelligence (AI) is influencing business processes globally and the Honours Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence program will teach students the skills, tools, and techniques needed to design AI solutions.

    Students will participate in courses focusing on technical theory and legal, social, and corporate responsibility. Through a field placement and capstone project, students will gain project management skills, as well as critical and analytical thinking skills.

    The hands-on learning students will experience during their field placement in the data analytics or artificial intelligence industry builds on the knowledge gained in the classroom, equipping students with the employability skills that today’s employers desire.

  • Behavioural Science

    This program was designed for students interested in changing human behaviour and who have a desire to help others improve their quality of life.

    Students will develop the in-demand skills of implementing Applied Behaviour Analysis to support individuals with developmental issues or disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, acquired brain injury, addiction or dementia.

    The course of study for this degree program has been verified by the Association for Behavior Analysis International toward the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst® examination.

  • Construction Management

    As Ontario’s construction sector enjoys sustained and significant expansion, the growing demand for skilled workers continues to create excellent employment opportunities for knowledgeable and well-prepared graduates to fill the estimated 118,000 new construction sector jobs that will be created over the next 15 years.

    This DC degree provides students with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to succeed in a career in the industrial, residential, institutional or commercial construction industries. Graduates will be prepared to make meaningful contributions to the prosperity, sustainability and resiliency of Ontario’s economic future.

    Graduates from this DC degree will have the foundational knowledge to pursue additional certifications including the Gold-Seal Certified (GSC) by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA), and Construction Estimator Certified (CEC) by the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS), Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI), In addition, graduates of the program will have the knowledge and skills to pursue further graduate study in construction management or related fields.
