COVID-19 Update: Essential and non-essential meetings for Durham College employees

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is rapidly evolving, with media and government updates happening several times a day. The DC leadership team, academic deans and campus emergency response team are all working closely with our external health professionals to remain up-to-date in order to make thoughtful and timely decisions that impact our campus community.

To manage the flow of information, we will be sharing COVID-19 updates in the format below via email. We will also post these updates on the college’s website.

Your patience and cooperation are much appreciated as we move through this uncharted territory together.

Essential and non-essential meetings for Durham College employees

As of March 16, 2020

Reducing the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) is top of mind for all of us. As such, we are making some changes to how we conduct college meetings over the next period of time.

We are advising that all non-essential face-to-face meetings be cancelled until further notice. For essential meetings, especially those focused on our learning continuity planning, the option to attend virtually is being offered.

Going forward, meeting invitations will include phone-in numbers and access codes.

Durham College continues to actively monitor the COVID-19 situation and the potential impact on our community. Please visit for updates and FAQs.
