COVID-19 Update: Parking refunds

Additional parking refunds to be issued to DC students and employees.

Wednesday, June 17

DC students:

Durham College (DC) is issuing final reimbursements of parking refunds, due to the on-going campus closure as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students who hold a parking pass for the 2019-2020 academic year will receive a parking refund for a seventeen-week period (May 1 to August 31). Refunds will be issued by Friday, June 19 through direct deposit (if banking information is on file) or by E-transfer.

DC employees:

Employees who have paid their 2019-2020 annual parking in full, will receive a seventeen-week refund via direct deposit.

Employees who pay for parking through payroll deduction will continue to have payments suspended.

Payroll deductions will be reconciled and if an amount is owed, the amount will be deducted on the following dates:

  • Full-time administrative staff: June 26
  • Full-time faculty: June 26
  • Full-time support staff: July 2
  • Contract employees: July 3

There is no action required on the employees’ part. We will communicate when the deduction of these fees is set to restart.
