COVID-19 Update: Spring/summer semester program delivery format and dates

Durham College to deliver spring/summer semester in remote/hybrid format.

As of February 3, 2021

In a few short months, Durham College’s (DC) spring/summer semester will begin.

Current efforts at DC and across the province have slowed the rising rates of positive COVID-19 cases. As we continue to follow public health advice and recommendations, DC will be delivering the spring/summer semester in our current remote learning and hybrid format.

Important spring/summer semester details

  • A chart outlining programs, semesters and mode of delivery is available on our program delivery page.
  • The spring/summer semester will begin Monday, May 3 and end Friday, August 13. Learn more about the term’s important academic dates.
  • Work-integrated learning opportunities may continue for programs through remote, in-person or blended formats. Examples of these opportunities include co-op, field placement, practicum, clinical placement and preceptorship, and will be outlined on the program delivery page.
  • Program delivery may change based on provincial government restrictions put in place to slow the spread of COVID-19. Students affected by program delivery changes will be contacted directly by their school office via email with information as soon as it becomes available.
  • Students with questions related to their programs should contact their school office. Visit the academic schools page for contact details.

With nearly a year of blended remote and hybrid learning behind us, we’re confident that our students and employees will continue to work and learn seamlessly in this adapted environment as we make the health and safety of our community a priority.
