COVID-19 Update: Two new, unrelated positive cases of COVID-19 reported at Durham College

Two new, unrelated confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 associated with Durham College’s (DC) Oshawa campus have been reported. No risk of campus community exposure.

Friday, October 16

We have been advised that two DC students have tested positive for COVID-19. These two cases are unrelated to one another – one student is studying remotely, and the other student was last on campus Thursday, October 8.

Durham Region Public Health (DRPH) has determined that due to the period of time the student was contagious while on campus, there is no risk to the campus community.

While our students are currently isolating, they are being accommodated academically. We wish them both a safe and speedy recovery.

Please be reminded of the college’s preventative safety measures when coming to campus and on campus.

  • If you are feeling unwell, or aren’t sure whether or not you should come to campus, please stay home, contact DRPH as well as:
