Durham College classes cancelled Friday, March 13 to Monday, March 16

On March 12, the Ontario government announced the mandatory closure of all publicly funded elementary and secondary schools until Monday, April 6 due to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.

In response, classes will be cancelled at the Durham College (DC) Oshawa and Whitby campuses and the Pickering Learning Site on Friday, March 13 to Monday, March 16. Online classes are not impacted and continue as scheduled. Students are expected to attend their placements unless other arrangements have been made with their employer.

The decision to cancel classes will allow the college leadership team, faculty and employees to prepare strategies to support continuity of learning for the remainder of the semester. Updates will be provided as they become available.

While classes are cancelled, the campus remains open. During this time staff are expected to work as usual and faculty are to be on campus per their regular schedules. Please contact your school office if you have any questions.
