Positive case of COVID-19 confirmed at Oshawa campus Posted on November 11, 2020 at 5:04 pm. WHAT A new positive case of COVID-19 associated with the Durham College (DC) Oshawa campus been reported. WHEN Wednesday, November 11 IMPLICATIONS We have been advised that a DC student, who was last at the Centre for Collaborative Education (CFCE) on Monday, November 2 has tested positive for COVID-19. This case is unrelated to any other case we have reported on. Risk mitigation measures have been implemented at the college based on specific direction from Durham Region Public Health (DRPH) to ensure the health and safety of the campus community. DRPH officials are in the process of completing any necessary contact tracing and will directly contact any student or employee who is determined to be at risk. If you are contacted by DRPH, you are required to follow their direction. At this time, your classes and activities will continue as scheduled and the only action required of you is to continue following DC’s protocol outlined below. Our student is currently isolating at home and being accommodated academically. We wish them a safe and speedy recovery. Please be reminded of the college’s preventative safety measures when coming to campus and on campus. All coming to campus must complete a one minute COVID-19 screening questionnaire prior to arriving.
