Three unrelated COVID-19 cases reported at the Oshawa campus on December 1

Three new, unrelated COVID-19 cases have been reported at the Durham College (DC) Oshawa campus.

DETAILS

We have been advised that three members of the DC community have tested positive for COVID-19.

  • The first individual was last on campus in the A-Wing of the Gordon Wiley building on Wednesday, November 18. The second individual was last on campus on Tuesday, November 24 also in the A-wing – however, these two cases have been determined to be unrelated to one another.
  • The third individual was last on campus in the Centre for Collaborative Education (CFCE) on Monday, November 30.
  • Durham Region Health Department (DRHD) has determined a low risk to our campus community with these three cases.

WHAT IS BEING DONE

  • Risk mitigation measures, including appropriate cleaning protocol, have been implemented at the college based on specific direction from DRHD.
  • DRHD will provide specific direction to any individuals who may be at risk.
  • If you have not been contacted, your campus classes and activities continue as scheduled.
