Earlier this month, Durham College (DC) released its vaccination policy for the fall semester, which requires all individuals coming to campus, college-operated property or college-sanctioned events to be fully vaccinated by Sunday, October 17.

For those who are partially-vaccinated or are awaiting a decision on their exemption request, rapid testing will be available until Friday, October 15. After October 17, only those who have provided proof of full vaccination, or have an approved letter of exemption as described in the Policy, will be permitted on campus.

Those who have requested an exemption from DC’s policy requirements will be advised of the review outcome shortly. Further instructions will be provided to those individuals at that time.

As a reminder, individuals awaiting exemption decisions are required to upload their vaccination or exemption documentation using DC’s COVID-19 Pre-entry Screening Questionnaire prior to receiving permission to come to campus, and must show their negative rapid test to security upon arrival until October 17. After documentation has been uploaded, individuals will still be required to complete the screening questionnaire app each day they come to campus.
