Fit4Sport – Exercise and Health Habits with Vickie Grierson

This session is perfect for anyone wanting to start-up or reconnect with their physical movement and fitness!

This event is being hosted as a part of our Better Together Series of events aimed at helping students make connections and it is open to all Durham College and Ontario Tech students.

We are pumped-up to offer this informative, get-you-moving webinar by Vickie Grierson, registered physiotherapist and founder of Fit 4 Sport.

This session will help participants gain a clear idea for of what unique physical activity habits are healthy for them, how to get started, and how to keep it going! We will be discussing:

Health Canada’s new Physical Activity Guidelines

What healthy movement is from a physiotherapist and strength and conditioning coach’s perspective, and why healthy movement habits are different for everyone

If you are not physically active, how to get started

If you are currently physically active, how to make is sustainable

Strategies to increase your chances of developing and sustaining good physical activity/fitness habits

Vickie (PT, CSCS, SFMAC, FMSC) is the founder of Fit 4 Sport, the physiotherapy and chiropractic service offered at the Campus Health and Wellness Centre. She has worked with sport and fitness athletes of all ages, from novice to professional for 27 years!

Vickie takes special interest in promoting active living and helping clients find the physical activity that’s right for them. She is also a Health Coach, Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Pilates Instructor.

Students who attend the session will receive a free wellness themed t-shirt!
