ODP- Canada’s Ozone Layer Protection Awareness Program
Did you know? By law, the removal, discharge, handling and disposal of refrigerants that contain ozone depleting substances and other hydrocarbons such as CFCs, HCFCs or HFCs must be performed by a certified technician.
The course deals with environmentally-correct equipment design, proper handling of CFC/HCFC/HFCs, and will prepare participants to comply with provincial regulations covering refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Participants who attend the course, and successfully achieve a mark of 75% or higher on the exam, will receive certification in the form of an Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card, from the HRAI (Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute).
