| 2nd Annual Durham Region Courthouse Open House | ||
| Durham Region residents are cordially invited to attend the 2nd Annual Durham Region Courthouse Open House on Wednesday, September 20th from 6-8 pm. | ||
| At this free event, members of the public will get a chance to go behind the scenes of the judicial system. Visitors will enjoy tours of the jury assembly room, various courtrooms and the holding cells. They will also get insights into jury and courtroom decorum from judicial members and courthouse staff, as well as observe the fingerprinting process. | ||
| Local community justice agencies will also be on hand to explore the numerous services available in Durham Region. Visitors who are interested in careers in justice-related occupations can visit with Durham College faculty about the broad range of programs available in the School of Justice & Emergency Services. | ||
