Your tour will be led by a current Durham College student or a member of our recruitment staff. All guides are knowledgeable about the campus and represent a wide range of different programs within the college.
For Oshawa campus tours, you will meet your guide at the Welcome Desk in the Student Services Building.
For Whitby campus tours, you will meet your guide at the Enrolment Services Desk in the main building at the Whitby campus.
Your guide will arrive about 10 to 15 minutes before the tour to prepare.
For Oshawa campus tours, we ask that you park in the Commencement Lot located on the south side of campus. Please take a ticket upon entry to the gated lot. Your guide will provide you with a validated ticket. You are welcome to park in any of our pay-and-display lots; however, we are unable to reimburse you for those lots.
For Whitby campus tours, please park in the gated parking lot at Whitby campus. Your guide will provide you with a validated ticket.
Our campuses are accessible by public transit. We offer both Durham Region Transit (DRT) and GO Transit options. Please consult the DRT and GO Transit’s websites for more information on routes. We are unfortunately unable to reimburse guests who take public transit.
Our campus tours intend to highlight a wide range of different programs and interests for all prospective students on the tour. While we do our best to accommodate students’ interests, we are unable to show labs on our tours. We encourage students interested in seeing the hands-on component of their program of interest to attend our Open House, which allows guests the opportunity to meet faculty and see lab space.
If you are interested in our on-campus residences, your guide will be happy to take you on a tour of our dorms.
The tour will be a mixture of both indoor and outdoor sections. As such, we ask you that please dress appropriately for the current weather conditions.
Our campuses are accessible to those with both physical and intellectual exceptionalities. Please make your guide aware of any supports that you may need to ensure you receive an optimal experience. Should require any specific supports, please contact us at email@example.com prior to your tour.
