Mature Student information sessions

Have you been out of school for a while and are now considering attending college? Did you know, roughly 60 per cent of first-year college students are mature students over the age of 19 and returning to school? If they can do it, so can you! Come to one of our monthly sessions and find out how you can succeed at college.

All sessions will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Student Services building (SSB), Oshawa campus, Room SSB116 A/B. Free parking is available in the Commencement Lot, or in Founders Lot 2. You will be required to take a ticket to gain entry, but we will provide you with a validated ticket to use on exit. Prior to arriving please review our locations and campus maps webpages.

  • How and when to apply, admission procedures
  • Financial Aid and Awards
  • Academic support through Student Academic Learning Services
  • Second Career program
  • Academic upgrading
  • Services and support available to students
  • Career planning resources

Campus tours

Campus tours are available throughout the week at our Oshawa and Whitby locations. Visit www.durhamcollege.ca/campustours to view the tour schedule and register for a tour. Please note: you will have to create an account in order to register.

Group campus tours

If you are a school or community group, please visit our group visit request form to book a tour of our Oshawa campus, Whitby campus or both.

School groups are also welcome to register for one of our themed group tours. Each tour will provide detailed information about a cluster of programs we offer at Durham College. You’ll also find out more about how and when to apply to Durham College, the outstanding services we offer to our students and receive a tour of the campus.
