How good are the services?
The beginning of the year is always a hectic time so it’s important that a college can provide efficient and reliable service to students. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff in Registration, Financial Aid and other major student service departments play a huge role in getting your year off to a good start. Durham College has an entire building, the Student Services building (SSB), that is dedicated to helping you navigate through the services we provide.
Are the facilities up-to-date?
You want to be trained on the best and most up-to-date equipment so that you can hit the ground running with your new employer once you graduate. In 2011-2012 Durham College completed $2 million in campus renovations, including the creation of a number of new study and computer lab areas to meet student requests for additional space. In September 2013 DC’s new Centre for Food will open, the new facility will include a full-service, green-certified teaching restaurant and lounge, state-of-the-art labs, classrooms and meeting spaces designed to accommodate approximately 900 new students pursuing careers in the culinary, hospitality, tourism and agriculture sectors.
