Durham College (DC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Ample Organics (AO), a leading cannabis seed-to-sale software provider, to formalize collaboration on post-secondary learning and corporate training opportunities related to the medical and recreational cannabis industry.
Under the agreement, AO will provide expertise to DC in connection with the development of new cannabis-related courses and programs, and to augment DC’s existing educational offerings, including the new Cannabis Industry Specialization certificate program and two-day Medical Cannabis Fundamentals for Business Professionals course. Particular areas of focus will include cannabis-related software, marketing, patient management and regulations.
The MOU will also see DC students gain exposure to AO’s leading seed-to-sale software and new opportunities for experiential learning in the field. AO is committed to the development of cannabis-related education at the post-secondary and professional levels and will assist DC in building relationships across the industry to help support course development. DC and AO will also explore opportunities to collaborate on applied research initiatives related to the medical and/or recreational cannabis industry. Under separate but related agreements, DC’s Corporate Training Services department will develop learning for AO specific to AO’s software solutions.
