Administrative Applications for Advertising

This course is an introductory course in Microsoft Excel and Project Management. It prepares students to use Excel to manipulate numerical data relating to business finances and other activities involving numeric information. It introduces the student to project management concepts and practices. The course requires no previous experience with Excel and covers both basic and intermediate features of the application. The student learns how to analyze, enter, edit, format and graphically present numeric data to effectively meet business needs. The student learns how to plan, monitor and measure progress in work projects. This course is a pre-requisite to Media Planning Courses where students will need to manage program costs using Budget Control Reports and create Media Blocking Chart documents, two very common tools utilized in industry.
