Social & Interactive Media

The use of social media has profoundly changed the global communication landscape. With the advent of tools such as Facebook, YouTube, Wikipedia, and Twitter, more people are connecting and collaborating online, and creating and distributing content in remarkable ways. This course will introduce students to the more common social media tools and strategies being utilized by advertisers to achieve specific business results. Student will explore how social media practices are monitored, managed, and modified for effectiveness. Students will also gain insight into some best practices for creating social media content and gaining hands-on experience with some leading social media applications.
