Construction Materials and Processes III

This course continues the study of materials and processes at an enhanced level and offers the challenge and reward of integrated design as it relates to a building project. It provides an overview of how multiple components of building systems interface with each other providing a completed building creating form, structure and interior systems. Concepts of systems integration and design are studied. (studied in Material and construction 1) Topics include exterior wall systems, stairs, floor covering ceiling and sustainable construction are studied. Students are introduced to the concepts of planning and administration of the construction phase of building construction including collaboration with others on the building team.
