CAD II

This course continues to introduce more advanced modeling concepts such as swept shapes. It also introduces the modeling tools required to correctly model injection moulded plastic parts. Assemblies of parts using parametric constraints are also covered. In recognition for the need to interchange CAD data between incompatible programs, the course teaches methods of data exchange such as STEP and IGES. In addition, synchronous modeling techniques are covered that allow editing of interchanged data. Finally, with an increasing emphasis of design techniques, the course introduces the use of standard supplier parts and NX part families.
