This course is designed to introduce students to concepts, principles and procedures underlying the domains of practice found in Child and Youth Work. Emphasis is placed on teaching the students how to develop a therapeutic relationship, how to establish a therapeutic milieu, how to effectively intervene with clients and how to develop a basic intervention plan. Students will be further introduced to the domains of practice and establish an understanding of their individual role as a Child and Youth Worker within each domain.
