Communication Foundations - Centre For Food
This course invites students to practice and develop the foundational skills and competencies necessary to communicate in a variety of agri-food and service industry-related contexts. Students will be challenged to reflect upon questions that include, but are not limited to: What is the purpose of communication? How does one communicate effectively and professionally? How can I improve communication to meet the needs of my audience? Students will learn to analyze different audiences and their needs and adapt their messages to ensure effective written, verbal, and visual communication. The course will introduce communication theories, techniques, and models for interpersonal relationships, group dynamics and intercultural environments.
