Professional Opportunities and Practices

In this course students will gain an understanding of the college and university program areas that exist in community services and child studies. In this way, students can begin to prepare for the next stage of their schooling. This course will also provide students with the skills necessary to function well in a professional environment, including: characteristics of an effective professional; personal attitudes, values and boundaries and their implications on professional practice; as well as a clarification of legal and ethical standards associated with helping professions.
