This course includes switching and routing theory and hands-on lab configuration. The student will learn to correctly identify and explain the major components of routers and switches, successfully manage the Cisco IOS, configure IP addresses using appropriate subnetting, and perform basic to intermediate switch and router configuration. This course prepares students to continue their networking skills education in the DCOM 3100 course in semester 3.
