Introduction to Skin Physiology and Anatomy

Students are introduced to the human bodily functions, including the nervous, circulatory, respiratory and cardiovascular systems, bone structure, muscles and joints. This course explores various skin conditions and disorders at an introductory level. The physiology of the skin, including the epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous layers will be examined along with the benefits of nutrition, vitamins, and minerals in the maintenance of healthy skin.
