This course will help equip graduates to responsibly manage their finances and navigate economic choices they may face as an individual and as a self-employed entrepreneur. We cover a wide variety of introductory topics within the personal finance area, and examine the elements that impact one's personal financial situation. Such elements include an overview of Canada's financial institutions, an in-depth look at the concept of assets and net worth, an exploration of investment options, debt management, renting versus owning, and retirement planning. The filing of personal and corporate income taxes is also addressed.
