Family Mediation I

Students will engage in the study of family dynamics and its relationship to family breakdown. The psychology of separation and divorce is explored in conjunction with an understanding of the issues and needs of both children and adults. Students will be introduced to the family mediation process and the application of ADR strategies within the family system. Students will be provided with a comprehensive learning experience regarding a series of screening techniques in the area of domestic violence and power imbalances.
