Field Placement Preparation 1

his course is the first of two and is the prerequisite to the second semester Field Placement Preparation course (FWK 2505). Students will examine, identify and reliably display the skills, values and knowledge required to be in a successful professional placement. Students will develop an overview of addictions and mental health agencies available for Field Placement in Durham College's Addictions and Mental Health Graduate Program. Students will also be introduced to the administrative requirements for field placement (e.g., forms and certificates) and gain instruction in the preparation of a "portfolio" involving a resume, cover letter and proper use of references.
