Field Placement I
This course consists of 182 hours of field placement. Students will participate in practice teaching experiences in early childhood settings /agencies, under the supervision of ECE faculty. Field Placement I (FWK 2314) consists of 2 days of placement per week in semester 2 for a total of 26 days. Field placement is one of the most valuable aspects of students' learning. As early childhood professionals field placement provides the opportunity to apply information and strategies learned in coursework and put that knowledge into practice. Gradually, students will assume increased responsibility for working with children, individually and in groups. In addition, students will focus on the development of effective communication skills through interaction with children and adults in the placement setting.
