Field Placement - Hr

Field placement (FP) consists of the student working with an organization's human resources staff, completing a variety of objectives, and obtaining valuable insights into the workings of an HR department. Students will engage in classroom-based seminars and one-to-one meetings (as requested) with the FP coordinator during each semester. Students set individual learning objectives and carry out projects, assignments, and tasks as defined by their field placement supervisor. The employer's work assignments and the student's learning objectives are discussed and confirmed in a field placement contract at the start of the experience. The student's performance is monitored during their placement and is formally reviewed at the conclusion of the course by their on-site supervisor. Students are expected to complete the required number of hours (208 or 13 part time weeks) at the field placement to obtain credit for this course
