To gain further practical recreation & leisure services experience under the supervision of industry professionals, students participate in a second field placement in an appropriate environment. Under the guidance of college staff, students pursue appropriate placement opportunities from a variety of approved enterprises including municipal, non-profit, and private recreation facilities providing services to individuals of all ages and capabilities. Eligibility for placement requires successful completion of all semester one, two, and three courses and a GPA of 2.0 or higher. This is an unpaid placement and students are responsible for transportation to and from their placement site. It is recommended that students choose a different type of environment for their first and second placement in order to diversify their experiences.
