Human Resource Management For Hospitality

The focus of this course is the management of the human resources function in the hospitality industry. Students gain a foundation in theory and practical experience related to the HR role and the employee cycle: recruitment, interview and selection, orientation and training, performance measurement and development, discipline and termination. As well, they will develop knowledge of compensation and benefits, common staff issues in the industry, legislation and labour relations.
