HR for Esport

This course provides an introduction to aspects of human resources management useful for any manager, with an emphasis on their application to the esports business. Following an overview of the strategic role of human resources management today, it introduces students to the competencies required in core human resources functions: planning, job analysis and design, recruitment and selection, training and orientation, and employee retention. The final section of the course focuses on aspects of employment law, including employee discipline and the law of dismissal, privacy rights in the workplace, and health and safety legislation.
