This course examines the nature of storytelling through projects in digital media involving the study of various facets of visual storytelling as they relate to film and animation. Digital imaging and image manipulation will be used to build visual design materials. Animation whether 2D or 3D, is essentially a form of communication. It is important and necessary to focus on the foundation of visual communication to deliver a clear message to a particular audience. This foundation will explore the design elements and principles through exercises using photo editing software to learn to communicate a strong idea, feeling or emotion in a 2D visual world.
