This course introduces students to standard applications for editing and manipulating digital images and creating publications using a Mac operating environment. Students learn basic elements of photo editing, manipulation, and compositing as well as practice the use of design concepts and techniques to digitally lay out and produce various types of publications. The social, emotive, and symbolic aspects of colour and type selection will also be explored.
