Law & Ethics In Forensic Investigations

This course will cover the laws and ethical considerations affecting forensic investigations . It will use case studies to examine the legal implications of proper preparation of evidence. It expands on the moral, ethical, and legal responsibility of any investigator in a Canadian context. This course helps students to develop an understanding of the professional codes of ethics to maintain a high standard of professional competence, conduct, and ethical practice. This course, in conjunction with the Computer Forensics course, teaches learners to properly present materials and evidence and the accompanying laws and regulations.
