This course will introduce students to the range, impact and theories of interpersonal violence. Victims of these offences will be the focus (interviewing considerations, trial and testimony expectations, specific victim vulnerabilities). The unique circumstances of a variety of victims will be studied (child, intimate partner, sexual), adding to the skill set of students to ready them for work with victims of crime.
